ELIZABETH I

Elizabeth I is the result of a cursed story.

Two enthusiastic young people created two epic gowns for the End of the Year Exhibition of costumes from the “costume for theatre workshop” they had attended.

The indicated task was clear: We had to choose a theme, some characters and finally dressed them. Chosen characters: Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart (two characters cursed at their times)

After having finished our work successfully, the awaited our big-day to arrive.Twenty-five groups showed their costumes and just one – ours – could not step into scene.

There was the general and typical chaotic air of student’s exhibitions, with and extra touch of disorganization. In spite of that mess, twenty-four groups were able to show their works.

The director – the teacher himself – was strict about following de established order to exhibit our works (I need to put this clear: it wasn’t “The Madison Square Garden”)

Finally we gave up, and after undressing and unmaking-up to the two models, we left the sinister place.

If anyone can help us discover what really happened that day, we’ll be awfully grateful!

Elizabeth I , es el resultado de una historia maldita.

Dos jóvenes entusiastas crean dos trajes de época para la muestra de fin de año del curso de vestuario al cual asisten. La consigna era clara : elegir tema y personajes y luego vestirlos.

Personajes elegidos : Elizabeth I y Mary Stuart ( personajes malditos históricamente )

Luego de haber realizado el trabajo exitosamente, llega el día esperado. Veinticinco pasadas en total y sólo una, la nuestra, no pudo salir a escena.

Había un aire caótico general típico de muestra estudiantil y bastante desorganización. Claro que esto no impidió a los veinticuatro grupos restantes mostrar sus trabajos.

El director -no otro sino el mismísimo profesor- no permitió que pasáramos fuera del orden establecido ( vale aclarar que no estábamos en el Madison Square Garden )

Finalmente nos rendimos y luego de desvestir y demaquillar a las dos modelos, no retiramos del siniestro lugar.
